Fuel prices in Perth

What unleaded really cost at 480 Perth stations, day by day, up to 15 October 2026. Here's how the price moves, when it's lowest and what good timing is worth to you.

The price cycle

A week

That's how long one cycle lasts in Perth. Prices jump about 17c a litre in a few days, then slide back down. Then it all starts again.

What good timing is worth

$99 a year

Fill a 50-litre tank every two weeks near the bottom of each cycle, not on a random day. You'd pay about 8c a litre less each time.

Unleaded every day for a year

See the saw teeth? Each sharp rise is the start of a new cycle. The low point just before it is the time to fill up.

Cents a litre: the average across stations of each one's price at noon.

How to catch the low

Over the year to October 2026, Perth went through 44 regular cycles. A typical one lasted 7 days, and prices rose 17c from the low to the high. Within each cycle, the days within 3c of its lowest price were 7.6c a litre cheaper than its average day. On 1,300 litres a year, that's the saving above. The big rise that began in March 2026 came from the cost of fuel itself, not the cycle, so we left it out.

The cheapest day of the week

In Perth, Tuesday is the cheapest day to fill up. It's about 15.2c a litre less than Wednesday, the dearest day.
