What Keno costs per hour

Keno never stops. A new game gets drawn every 2 minutes 40 seconds, day and night. That's about 22.5 games an hour, and 540 a day.

An hour
A session
A year

That's how much goes in if you play every game. Some of it comes back as prizes, but like every lottery game, Keno is built to pay back less than it takes. See what that money could grow to if you saved it instead.

Check your numbers

Pick 1 to 10 numbers from 1 to 80 (that's a Keno "spot" game). We'll check them against every game from the last 30 days.

Clear

Is it fair?

Every number should come up in a quarter of games. Over 1,885,723 games, that's 471,431 times each.

With this many tests, one "slightly unusual" result turns up by luck fairly often.

Times each number has been drawn

Do hot numbers stay hot?

No. Over 119 months, each month's 10 most-drawn numbers came up 100.0% as often as an average number the next month. 100% would mean no carry-over at all.

The correlation between how far a number runs above average one month and the next is 0.007, where 0 means no memory at all. Keno machines don't remember. "Hot" and "cold" numbers are just luck, seen looking backwards. Why streaks fool us.

Heads or Tails

Heads wins when more of the 20 numbers come from 1–40. Tails wins when more come from 41–80. Evens is a 10–10 split.
