Numbers that come up together
Main numbers that came out in the same draw, across 1,704 draws. There are 1,081 possible pairs, so a few will sit well above chance by pure luck. That doesn't make them a pattern.

Do some numbers pay more when they win?
Whatever you pick, your chance of winning is exactly the same. Prizes get shared, though. When lots of people chose the winning numbers, each winner gets a smaller slice.
When 7 of the winning numbers were 1–31, prizes were 15% lower than usual. With 2, they were 8% higher.
- People avoid consecutive numbers: each pair like 22-23 among the winning numbers meant prizes 1.2% higher.
Prizes by how many winning numbers were 1–31
Numbers 1–31 can be birthdays, so more people pick them. The bars show how prizes compared with a normal draw.
How prizes change when each number is drawn
Most over-picked: 7, 11, 19, 13, 27. Least picked: 46, 47, 41, 39, 32. Faded numbers aren't clearly different from normal.
How this is worked out, and the table
Each prize is compared with the typical prize for the same division in the 25 draws around it. We use divisions with hundreds of winners (here 4, 5, 6, 7), where one extra winner barely moves the prize. Promotional draws with boosted prizes are left out. Ticket sales cancel out, because more sales mean a bigger pool and more winners. What's left mostly comes down to how many people picked the winning numbers. Each number's effect comes from a regression across 1,087 draws and is shown against the median number.

Each test checks what happened against the exact chances (a chi-square test). The p-value says how often pure chance would give a result at least this far off. 0.26 means 26% of the time, which is nothing special. Under 0.01 counts as slightly unusual, and under 0.001 as unusual. Run enough tests and one slightly unusual result turns up by luck fairly often, so the overall verdict allows for that.
Number trends over time
Hot numbers don't stay hot. Over 32 years, each year's 10 most-drawn numbers came up 98% as often as chance predicts the next year. 100% would mean no carry-over at all.
Each number, year by year
Red means a number came up less than chance predicts that year, blue means more. Hover over a square for the counts. Each number only comes up so many times a year, so colour swings like these are what luck alone produces.

On average a number goes about 6 draws between appearances. Being "overdue" doesn't make it any more likely to come up next. The balls don't remember.
Sum and spread of each draw
Half of all draws have main numbers adding up to between 130 and 177. The average sum is 154.5, against 153.7 expected by chance.
Middle sums only turn up a lot because more combinations add up to them. Every single ticket has exactly the same chance, whether it's 1-2-3-4-5-6 or a set that looks "typical". So picking for a middle sum won't help you win. Odd-looking tickets can even pay more when they do win, because fewer people pick them.
