The short version
Trackkn has no accounts and no advertising. We don't collect your name, your email or anything else that says who you are. We do count visits with Google Analytics, so we can see which pages people find useful.
Visit counts
Google Analytics tells us which pages get viewed, roughly where in the world visitors are, what kind of device and browser they use, and how they found the site. It sets cookies so it can tell a repeat visit from a new one. Google's advertising features are switched off, and the numbers and amounts you type into our tools are never sent to it.
Google handles this information under its own privacy policy. If you'd rather not be counted, use Google's opt-out add-on or any content blocker. The site works just the same without it.
What stays on your device
Numbers you save in My numbers, your syndicate members and amounts, and whether you picked the light or dark theme all live in your own browser's storage. They never get sent to us. Clear your browser's data for this site and they're gone.
Rents
There's no personal information in the rent figures. Rental bond records are published by postcode and suburb, with no names or street addresses. Rent check and the budget search run in your browser, so the rent or budget you type in is never sent anywhere.
Two buttons on the rent pages, "Tell me when it opens" and "Register interest" in a suburb report, open an email to hello@trackkn.com in your own email app. If you send it, we'll only use your address to reply about that.
Money pages
The bank rates on the Money pages come from the banks' public product data. Those pages don't ask you for anything and don't store anything about you. Sorting and filtering a table happens in your browser. A link to a bank's own page takes you to that bank's site, which has its own privacy policy.
What our host sees
Like any website, the servers that host Trackkn get the standard details that come with every request, such as your IP address, the page you asked for and your browser type. Our hosting provider uses them to deliver pages, to protect the site from abuse (for example, by limiting very high request rates) and to keep short-lived logs. We don't use any of it to work out who you are or build a profile of you.
Checking numbers and calculators
When a tool checks your numbers against past draws, the numbers go along with that request so the answer can be worked out. The site doesn't keep them. Like any web address, they may show up in the host's short-lived request logs.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes, so will the date at the top. Got a question about privacy? You can raise it through the About page.
