Who it's for

Landlords use it to set or review a rent. Buyers use it to weigh up areas before they invest. Agents and property managers can back a rent appraisal with an independent document that shows where every number came from.

    What it doesn't cover

The figures are for new leases, which usually cost more than leases that have run for a while. There are no reports yet for Victoria, Western Australia, the ACT or the Northern Territory, because they don't publish current rental bond figures. Yields only show up where sale prices are published under an open licence. A report is general information, not financial advice. No government publisher has reviewed or endorsed it. See the sources and methodology for more.
